Topic: 4. Choose one of the following:
a. Write a series of short poems (each less than 20 lines) describing life as a migrant worker. You may wish to take the viewpoint of one of the men in the novel. Describe the workers' way of life. Think about how the men in the novel live and work, the hopes and aspirations they may have.
b. Write a long poem (30-60 lines) from Curley's wife's point of view. You may wish to use the thoughts and feelings written in one of Curley's wife's journal entries (imagine that she wrote one, or write your own version).
c. Write a 30-60 line poem about loneliness. Use your own thoughts and experiences and/or those of a character in the novel.
