Lady Macbeth is reading a letter from Macbeth. In it there is a line that says, "my dearest partner of greatness". That line is giving the thought that there is equality between man and wife. He is normally not one to share his thoughts, but in this letter it appears he is pouring out his heart to Lady Macbeth. Is this a trusting, strong relationship? Is there enough trust for it to last?
