What can you do to protect your skeleton and keep it healthy? Explain.
To protect your skull it is a good idea to wear helmets when biking, snowboarding, skiing, or playing many sports. Also drinking milk and eating dairy products will help keep all your bones strong and working. Wearing proper equipment when playing sports is also very important. Another way to keep your skeleton healthy is by using common sense. By this I mean don't jump off a roof, or do other things that will potentially put your bones at risk.

Do you believe that “there is no such thing as original creativity”? Why or why not?
I believe there is original creativity but most people do not have it. Nowadays many people are followers and don't find out or create things by themselves. I believe everyone has the ability to be creative but some people are better at it or find it easier then others.

Based on the information in the passage, explain in your own words when it is best to drink water and when it is best to drink sports drinks.
I think it is best to drink water almost all the time, unless you have done high intensity workouts for over an hour. Water is much more refreshing than sports drinks and water does not contain all the artificial colours and flavours. It is alright to have sports drinks once in a while but not everyday.

Before reading this passage, what were your assumptions about ninjutsu? In other words, what did you believe was true about ninjas? How did the information in the passage change your ideas?
Before I read this passage I had never heard of ninjutsu. I thought that karate and jujitsu were the only types of martial arts. I still do not fully understand how the different types differ from one another but I know that karate is more competiticve and ninjutsu focuses more on self-improvement.

Re: Read Theory

Which of the strategies described in the passage do you think is the most effective for staying warm while saving money? Why?
I think the best way to stay warm and save some money is to keep your thermostat not too warm but just warm enough to be comfortable. When you are not home or when you are sleeping it is a good idea to lower the temperature to conserve energy. Another way to save money would be to not use a heater and just dress warmer and allow as little cold air in as possible.

Using your own words, explain how not making your bed can help someone who has allergies.
By making your bed you are creating a dark and moist place where dust mites can thrive. When you don't make your bed, you are exposing the dust mites to sunlight and fresh air. The light and air kills the mites, leaving your bed cleaner and making it easier for you to breathe, especially if you have allergies.

Why do you think so much work is being done around one home all at the same time? Why would so much change happen so quickly? Explain your ideas.
I think so much change would be happening so quickly around one house at the same time is, the owners wanting to sell their house. This is the first idea that came to me because this reminded me of what we were doing with our house a few months ago. We tried to get as much done as soon as possible so we could get house our house to sell quickly for top dollar. Another reason could be that the owners just wanted to update their houses' exterior and they wanted it done as fast as it could.

What is your opinion of rainy summer days? Explain.
I personally highly dislike rainy summer days. Most summer days I enjoy going to the lake, camping or hanging out with friends. When it rains during the summer it makes these activities less enjoyable and often not possible. Another reason I do not like summer rain is, during the spring and summer I play on lacrosse teams in Edmonton and Cold Lake. If it is raining too much I would be forced to miss practices and games. Although I love summer storms I still do not like the rain.
